File upload fails
Upload failing or interrupted: file size limit, remaining storage quota, connection, browser. An ordered checklist and where to get help.
A failed upload usually has an identifiable cause: a file larger than your plan’s limit, an exhausted storage quota, an unstable connection or an outdated browser. Here are the checks to run, in order, before contacting support.
In short
First check the file size against your plan’s limit, then your remaining storage quota and the stability of your connection. Retry, and sign in again if your session may have expired. If the failure persists, contact support with the error details.
Checks, in order
- File size. Each plan sets a maximum size per file. Compare your file’s size to your plan’s limit — the values per plan are listed in Upload files.
- Storage quota. Check the space remaining on your account; an exhausted quota blocks new uploads. See Understanding your storage quota.
- Internet connection. Large uploads are sensitive to interruptions: check that your connection is stable.
- Up-to-date browser. Update your browser if needed, then retry.
- Retry. Simply start the upload again after these checks.
- Session. An expired session can interrupt an upload: if your session may have expired, sign in again and retry.
If the failure persists
Contact support at [email protected] or via the Contacting support article. Include the file size, your plan and the exact error message: these details speed up diagnosis.
Tip — For large files, prefer a stable connection (wired network) over mobile data, and avoid letting your device sleep during the upload.
