How do I download files?

You can download your files from the Everabyte web interface. The people you share content with download it in turn through the link you send them.

Downloading your files

From the web interface, you can download your files at any time: this is the most direct way to retrieve content stored in Everabyte. Your files are kept there in encrypted form; downloading gives you back the content you stored.

To retrieve content shared by someone else, open the link that person sent you: the download happens from that link. This way you can retrieve a file occasionally, without depending on another tool.

Downloads by your recipients

When you share a file, recipients download the content through the link you send them. Simple access controls let you decide who can see or download your content: each link applies within the permissions you have set. You keep control of your content even after sharing it.

Your own downloads and your recipients’ downloads are two distinct paths, described below.

Likewise, if someone sends you a share link, you can download the content through that link, within the controls set by its owner.
