Can Everabyte read my files?
No. Everabyte does not hold customer encryption keys and has no technical means to read your files. Here is what that means, and the exceptions.
This is one of the most frequent questions we receive, and it deserves a direct answer. Here is what Everabyte can and cannot see, and the rare cases where the rules are defined by contract instead.
In short
No. Everabyte does not hold customer encryption keys and has no technical means to read customer files. Files are encrypted on your device before they reach our infrastructure — in every deployment, including white-label.
Why the answer is no
Everabyte uses a zero-knowledge design. Your files are encrypted on your device before they reach our infrastructure, with a key Everabyte does not hold. On our storage, your content exists only as ciphertext. Without your key, the data is unreadable — for us as for anyone else.
What about access to my account?
You sign in and manage your account with authentication and session tokens. These tokens are used for access control, not as decryption material. In other words, they allow or restrict access to services — they do not unlock the content of your files.
Honest exceptions
For dedicated-server or custom-module deployments, your order form or data processing agreement (DPA) states what we can access, and we tell you before building anything that changes the position. Outside these contractual cases, the zero-knowledge design described above applies.

What this means for support
If you contact support about a file problem, we can help with the service — not with the content. Because we do not hold your key, no one at Everabyte can open or decrypt the readable version of your files.

Can Everabyte staff open my files during a support request?

Does this apply to white-label deployments?
Yes. The zero-knowledge design applies across the storage platform, including white-label deployments.
What about dedicated servers or custom modules?
Your order form or DPA states what we can access, and we tell you before building anything that changes the position.
