Client-side encryption

Your files are encrypted on your device, with a key Everabyte does not hold: we cannot read them. The principle is detailed in our article on zero-knowledge encryption.

Immutable backups (WORM)

Backups are protected by immutable WORM-style retention controls: data placed under a lock cannot be modified or deleted for the defined duration.

Multi-datacenter replication

Your data is replicated across multiple datacenter locations, with 6+3 erasure coding spread over 7 Tier III+ datacenters and tested failover.

Retention locks

You can place retention locks from 30 days to 5 years, which prevent locked data from being altered or deleted for the entire chosen duration.

Logging and monitoring

File-related activity is logged and monitored, which helps understand what happened in case of an incident.

Recovering after an incident

In case of an incident, recovery relies on verified clean restores, which confirm backup integrity before any recovery takes place. Data placed under a retention lock remains readable and unaltered for the entire duration of the lock. The full model is described in our article on how backup works.
