Team roles and permissions

In a team context, not every member needs the same rights. Everabyte relies on role-based access control, which lets you adjust what each member can do on shared folders and files.

In short

Everabyte uses role-based access control for teams: permissions can be applied at folder and file level, and roles determine what members can view, download, or manage. Security-relevant events are recorded in an activity log.

How role-based access works

Team access is managed through roles. A role defines the actions available to a member: viewing content, downloading files, or managing them. This approach aligns each member’s capabilities with their actual need, without giving everyone the same rights.

Folder and file level permissions

Permissions can be applied at two levels: the folder and the file. You can therefore define what a member can do on a whole folder, or restrict it to specific files. To learn more about sharing, see Sharing permissions.

Activity logging
