Payment failed

A declined payment is usually resolved in a few minutes: verifying the card with your bank, checking available funds or switching payment method. This article describes the checks to run and what happens after repeated failures.

In short

Verify your card’s details and expiry date with your bank, make sure funds are sufficient, or try another payment method: cards and cryptocurrency are both accepted. If repeated failures are not cured, the service may be suspended, restricted or downgraded, then terminated after at least 14 days’ notice.

Checks to run

1. Card details. Check the card number, expiry date and associated information; if in doubt, verify directly with your bank.
2. Available funds. Make sure the funds are sufficient on the payment method used.
3. Another payment method. Everabyte accepts card and cryptocurrency payments: switching method often unblocks the situation.
4. Automatic retry. Declined charges may be retried automatically at reasonable intervals: after curing the failure, your payment may go through without further action from you.

After repeated failures

If the failure is not cured, Everabyte may retry the charge at reasonable intervals, suspend or restrict the affected service, downgrade it to a lower tier, then terminate it after at least 14 days’ notice, in line with the terms of use.

Common issues

My card looks correct. Why was the payment declined?

Your bank may be blocking the transaction: check with them, then retry or use another payment method.

Can I pay with cryptocurrency?

Yes. Everabyte accepts card and cryptocurrency payments, through specialized providers.

What happens if I do not cure the failure?

Repeated failures can lead to the service being suspended, restricted or downgraded, then terminated after at least 14 days’ notice.
