Dedicated Compute
Dedicated Compute adds dedicated CPU and RAM resources alongside Everabyte storage for greater application performance and workload isolation. Optional paid service, arranged with the Everabyte team.
Some workloads need dedicated compute capacity alongside storage. Dedicated Compute adds dedicated virtual machines — isolated, high-performance environments with their own CPU and RAM resources — operated by Everabyte alongside your storage. This article describes their scope and how to request them.
In short
Dedicated Compute is an optional paid infrastructure service. It provides dedicated CPU and RAM resources for greater application performance and workload isolation within Everabyte infrastructure. Configurations and pricing depend on your plan and requirements: check the Pricing page, then contact the Everabyte team to request activation. There is no self-service activation.
What Dedicated Compute is for
Dedicated virtual machines support workloads that need dedicated resources alongside storage:
- Additional application performance;
- Workload isolation;
- Dedicated CPU and RAM resources;
- Custom processing;
- Partner-specific integrations;
- Specialized workloads.
What Dedicated Compute is not
Dedicated Compute is a compute resource for your applications and processing. It is not:
- A bare-metal recovery feature;
- A disaster recovery service;
- A system-image restore capability.
Your storage-level protection (encryption, versioning, backup) is documented separately and does not depend on Dedicated Compute.
Configuration and pricing
Specifications differ by plan and by request: CPU and RAM allocations are not the same from one configuration to the next. Everabyte does not publish generic specifications in this article — see the Pricing page for what each plan includes and what is an add-on. Dedicated Compute is an optional paid service and is billed separately; it is never automatically included with a plan or a Partner agreement.
Security and operation
The Dedicated Compute infrastructure is managed by Everabyte. The zero-knowledge model still applies to your stored data: it stays encrypted and unreadable to Everabyte. To learn more, see How we protect files.
Activation and requests
Access goes through sales or support: contact the team via the Contact page or at [email protected]. The team will confirm the options available for your plan; there is no self-service activation.
Common issues
Is Dedicated Compute included automatically?
No. It is an optional paid infrastructure service, quoted separately according to your configuration. Check the Pricing page or contact sales.
How much CPU and RAM does a Dedicated Compute environment include?
Allocations differ by plan and configuration: check the Pricing page or contact sales for the values that apply to your organization.
Can Dedicated Compute restore a full server image or handle disaster recovery?
No. Dedicated Compute provides compute resources for performance and isolation. It is not a bare-metal recovery, disaster recovery or system-image restore feature.
Who administers the Dedicated Compute environment?
The infrastructure is managed by Everabyte; for any access or configuration request, go through sales or support.
